Solve linear equations in one varible

Step 1. Add a 6 to each side, as to cancle out the 6 on the left hand side

 

Step 2. Divid what you have left by the number with a variable, so in this case it would be divided by -3

 

Step 3. Check that you answer is correct

The content I've added is a good resource for someone learning about this topic because it clearly shows step by step how to solve a linear equation.

 

Something interesting or new that I learned about this topic was that you have to divid the number with the variable to isolate the variable.
